Free School Meal Provision from Monday 23^rd March 2020

If you child is currently eligible for a free school meal they will be able to collect a packed lunch grab bag from their school on Monday from 12:00 p.m.

If your child is currently provided with free home to school transport or they currently attend a Cardiff Special School they are able to collect their packed lunch grab bag from your local Primary School.

Pupils will not be allowed to consume the lunch on site and when collecting from the school please be aware of the current guidance for social distancing.

Key Workers and Childcare
Please remember that we are trying to maintain key workers while isolating the majority of remaining pupils. We will try to limit this group, in the first instance, to 10%. Priority will be given to Care and Health workers in the first instance. The Government guidance states “It is important to underline that schools … remain safe places for children. But the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society…..If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be” .

In order to access childcare you will need to provide us with details of your role and that of the children’s other parent.

Parents/carers meeting the keyworker criteria, with children of pre-school age, who also require childcare and where there is no one to provide care for them, should contact the Family Gateway on 0300133133.  The Family Gateway will look at collating the details of these needs and will work with parents to see where it might be possible to offer places.

Hello parents, in Year 3 we concentrate on two spelling schemes; Step Star in English and Geiriau Allweddol (Key Words) in Welsh. The English Step Star Sounds will be released weekly via the homework assignments. However, as the children work at their own pace through the Welsh scheme below are the 15 sets of words. Your child has been told which set they are currently on. Once they are able to spell all 10 words correctly in an assessment they will move on to the next set.

Dear Parent / Guardian,

In line with the directive passed by our government today, Treganna will close for an early Easter break on Friday 20/03/2020. We hope to keep the school open until then but will have to re asses our staff and pupil numbers on a daily basis. We have been working on a collection of online activities and these will be available on line by Monday the 23^rd.
