This week, our pupils have been extremely busy looking at things from the features of newspaper articles to using emotive language to celebrating ‘Shwmae S’umae day. They have also worked extremely hard in maths sessions and have learnt about equivalent fractions as well as using them in addition and subtraction problems.
Your homework this week is to look through newspapers or magazines with someone at home and find an article that you find particularly appealing. It could be about your favourite band, sport or film or be about a news topic. Your task is to highlight/colour any emotive words you find in the article and write a list of them. An extra challenge is to use these words to form your own sentences. Make sure to get permission from whoever owns the newspaper or magazine before you highlight or colour. Make sure you send a photograph of your work to your class’ TEAMS account or to send it back via assignments.
Also, remember to look over the English spelling words, to revise times tables and to find an opportunity to read.
