We are very pleased with your efforts this week as we have learned more about refugees, and revised addition and subtraction methods in our maths lessons.
However, we were most pleased with your EXCELLENT effort for the homework task set for last weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed reading, and hearing some of you present, about Malala. This has been an encouraging start to the year. ?
Your homework, to be completed by next Wednesday, is to write a short biography about a family member. This could be about someone who is at home or a member of your extended family, like a grandparent or aunty/uncle.
We would like you to write the biography in English, please.
Remember the biography features that we have begun to discuss:
- Opening paragraph
- -ed verbs (walked, talked, succeeded, moved)
- Write in the 3rdperson (talk about he/ she/ they)
- Key events / interesting facts
- Time openers. (In 2004… During this time…. After that… Following this… Eventually…)
