Covid-19 New Guidelines Summary 01/11/2021

AT HOME

Fully vaccinated or aged between 5 and 17 years
If anyone in the household has symptoms or has tested positive, self isolate and take a PCR test. If the test is negative, self-isolation can end. It will be necessary to remain vigilant for any new symptoms, and try to avoid contact with vulnerable people in the short-term.

Children under 5 years with COVID-19 symptoms without a test
The Government advises that those children should not go to school or a childcare setting until they recover.

Children aged 0 -4 can get tested if parents feel they need a PCR test

Parents
A child who has symptoms or who has had a positive outcome
Parents and guardians should avoid moving a child who has COVID-19 symptoms or who has had a positive result between households.

If parents and guardians share responsibility for the child, the child should remain with one family for as long as they need to isolate.
