We have had a busy week and enjoyed the visit from the fire men on Tuesday! We learned important facts about fire and had fun sitting in the fire truck!
We have also been busy developing our knowledge of numbers and place value, looking at how many units, tens and hundreds are in a number. Here are some great games to practise, (click on the links below).
Dates to remember
24/10/19 – Celebrating our hero!
To celebrate our theme and our heroes, we will have a chance to dress up as our favourite hero in school. There will be special guests and plenty of fun activities! Please don’t go to any trouble and buy a new hero outfit. You can use what you’ve got and be creative. How about about asking your child about their favourite footballer or singer? We have also studied various heroes in school, such as Betsi Cadwaladr, Barti the brave sheep and Supertaten!
7/11/19- Diwrnod Golchi Beti Bwt- St Fagans
Year 2 will be visiting St Fagans for a day out with Beti Bwt. Your child will need to bring a packed lunch for the day.
Please ensure that you give your child consent to attend the school trip on the Parent Pay website.
20/11/19- Huw Aaron Workshop (Cartoonist/Illustrator)
Each class will have the chance to learn the skills that are needed to create their very own cartoon character along with learning how to write and structure a comic.
We ask kindly for a contribution towards the day. At the end of the day Huw Aaron will be giving each child their very own copy of an exciting new comic book he’s written to take home.
